Biodynamic Midwife | 1,000+ Births Over 20 Years

You are the "Strong One" everyone leans on
while you wonder who is going to hold you.
You've spent decades bracing your body for the next crisis, and now, even in the "peaceful" moments, your nervous system won't let you rest.
You snap at your children over something small, like shoes on the floor, and watch their little faces change. Then you spend the rest of the night drowning in guilt.
You hear your partner ask, "Why can't you just relax?", and you wonder if you've forgotten how or if this is just your personality.

What if the bracing, the micro managing, the control, the hypervigilance, and the way you clench to hold-it-all-together
is not your nature, but a protection you learned in order to survive?
You are the descendant of a line of woman who swallowed their voices to keep the peace,
and who learned early that belonging was safer when she made herself small.
YOU have been called to become the one who changes the pattern, not by fighting your way there, but by breathing your way there.
You’ve read the books.
Tried the apps.
Done the talk therapy.
Your Mind Knows You Are Safe—But Your Cells Haven’t Received the Memo.
Sister, you don’t need another five-step checklist.
You need a sacred container with other women to practice letting the body feel it is safe to exhale.
The MARE is a journey home to your body - where you finally find safety, allow yourself to be held, and return to a deep sense of belonging within.
I know intimately that a lifetime of bracing is not a quick fix, for that reason, this is a nine-month container of deep safety, devotion, and midwifery.

Here, we use fear as a portal back to self-trust.
We dethrone shame and practice courageous living.
We birth a lineage shaped by radical self-acceptance.
You will be midwifed through three trimesters: unraveling, remembering, and reclaiming - a sacred gestation to birth yourself whole.
Our metric of success is simple:
How much life can your body receive without contracting?
How much pleasure can your nervous system hold without apologizing for it?

The transformation starts already by being in Red’s field - calm, powerful, radiant. She embodies the courage to be fully and authentically yourself, build the life you desire and connect deeply with your inner wisdom. I’ve learnt so much from Red and I am truly grateful for these months together.

Thank you Red for The Mare 🐎
You not only taught us so much about ourselves, tools to help manage ourselves when we are aware that we might be start to spiral, but you held space for us and lead us by showing us how to be open, vulnerable and strong too.
I am now much calmer and more present, more aware of my patterns and able to give myself space to respond rather than react. I feel more confident in listening to my body and what it is telling me about whether an action is truly aligned with me or not. I’m truly grateful for you and the mare for supporting my growth to be the best version of myself.
~Laura, Melbourne

I came with one hope—to rediscover myself and reclaim the person I felt I had lost.
Growing up, I was taught to suppress both negative and positive emotions. Crying was often seen as a sign of weakness, and I was bullied and shamed whenever I expressed my feelings. Over time, I learned to hide my emotions instead of understanding them.
Through this program, I discovered the importance of extending deep compassion to myself. I learned that every emotion has a purpose and that emotions are not something to judge as "right" or "wrong." Instead, they are invitations to acknowledge, understand, and embrace what is happening within me. I also came to realize that crying is not a sign of weakness—it is my body's natural way of processing overwhelming emotions. For the first time, I no longer feel condemned or ashamed for crying.

Why I Created The Mare
For the past twenty years, I thought I was studying birth. I travelled the world as a Biodynamic Midwife, attending more than a thousand births across ten countries. I majorly geek out on the micro details of how babies are born.
And somewhere along the way, I realised I was actually studying women.
I watched what happened when fear entered the room. I watched women disconnect from their own knowing the moment someone else sounded more certain. I watched bodies tighten, breath disappear, voices become smaller.
And I realised these patterns never begin in labour, labour just reveals them. Birth has a remarkable way of exposing how we've been living and leading ourselves. How we trust ourselves, how we receive support.
We always have choice. We can either abandon ourselves or claim ourselves when things don't go to plan, this lesson became deeply personal when it was my turn to give birth.
Like many women, I had a clear vision for my plan A for birth and it was a home water birth. However, after many twists and turns, I found myself in the operating theatre having a caesarean.
II still had an amazing experience of my birth; it did not ultimately matter that it did not go according to my plan A, because I also had a plan C in place and had an amazing team.
Most importantly, I led myself with courage through every twists and turn, I stayed connected to my body, connected to my baby and connected to my voice. My birth embodied a truth in me that I already knew cognitively; a positive birth doesn't come any specific outcome. It comes from the way we lead ourselves in the unfolding, and over time I realised birth was always only the mirror. It simply reveals how we meet uncertainty, relationships, change, and ourselves.
All these years and thousands of women later, birth taught me that women don't suffer because life doesn't go to plan. We suffer when we lose ourselves trying to control what we cannot, instead of tending to what we can, and abandon ourselves in the messy middle.

✦ Identifies as STRONG and not so sure if that is who she wants to be anymore.
✦ Is very well-versed in the world of holistic health and wonders why she takes so many supplements but still feels exhausted.
✦ Feels the part of herself under her angelic smile that could do battle with a grizzly bear and likely win.
✦ Has a huge capacity to do everything for everyone but struggles to receive support for herself without guilt or a feeling of obligation
✦ She overthinks simple decisions because she is so used to outsourcing her truth to the opinions of others.
Is either woo curious or woo steeped.
✦ Knows she doesn’t need to be fixed, she needs to be witnessed it taking off the heavy masks of self-abandonment.
✦ She wonders why 50K of talk therapy bills later and she still has the same fear spirals and anxiety daydreams.
✦ She's looking for women who are brave enough to remember who they were before fear taught them who they had to become.
✦ She has built an incredible life but it doesn't feel as good in her body as she imagined it would.
✦ You believe the answer is finding a better version of yourself, rather than remembering the one already within you.
✦ You are looking for someone to tell you exactly what to do.
✦ You want transformation without practice, reflection, or responsibility.
✦ You are committed to staying busy enough that you never have to meet yourself.
✦ You believe your worth depends on productivity, and you're not yet willing to question that.
✦ You want another program to consume rather than a way of living to embody.

We start on 13th August,

New Moons have always marked the beginning of a new cycle,
a new chapter! This moon is in the sign of Leo which couldn’t be more perfect as Leo inspired courage and to authentic expression.

No. I am not your therapist, and The Mare is not a replacement for therapy.
This is midwifery.
Midwives don't fix, they don't force, they create the conditions for something deeply intelligent to unfold.
That's how I hold this container.
Many women inside The Mare are also in therapy and find the two complement each other beautifully. Therapy may help you understand your story. Here we focus on creating enough safety in your body that you can begin living beyond it.
We don't just talk about your past; we renegotiate how your nervous system responds to the present.
This isn't another "to-do.’ it’s the antidote to your to-do list.
The Mare is designed to give you energy back by stopping the "energy leaks" of chronic bracing. Many women find they actually become more efficient because they aren't fighting their own bodies anymore.
Then you're probably exactly where many women begin.
Most women who join The Mare have read the books, listened to the podcasts, tried the meditations, the somatic workshops, the coaching and years of therapy.
They don't need more information, they need integration.
The missing piece is rarely knowledge, it's creating enough nervous system safety for that knowledge to become lived experience.
No.
This work is for any woman who has learned to stay hypervigilant, over-function, overthink, people-please, or disconnect from herself in order to belong.
You don't need children to know what it feels like to abandon yourself.
The Mare is designed to fit into real life.
You'll have weekly live sessions and simple practices between calls, we have a private Whatsap Space to encourage and share in.
All the live calls are recorded, we know life happens and there will be weeks you miss, that is normal.
This isn't another program that asks you to overhaul your life, the invitation is to begin relating to your life differently.
Many women inside The Mare identify as ADHD, autistic, highly sensitive, or simply exhausted from years of masking.
This is about creating enough safety that your nervous system no longer has to spend so much energy surviving.
You are welcome exactly as you are.
The Mare unfolds across three trimesters, just like a pregnancy.
That's a very honest question and in my experience, most women asking it aren't actually afraid of 9-months.
They're afraid of investing in themselves and wondering if they'll let themselves down again.
The truth is, transformation takes repetition, not intensity.
Your nervous system changes through consistent experiences of safety, not another weekend of inspiration.
9-months gives your body time to practice becoming someone new.
Before joining, we'll make sure The Mare feels like the right fit.
Because this work is deeply relational and spaces are intentionally limited, all enrolments are final and the commitment is for the duration.
It's because lasting change asks us to stay present when discomfort arises rather than immediately looking for the exit.
If you hit a difficult season during the program, you won't be left to navigate it alone.
Not at all, Midwifery isn't the subject of this program.
It's the way I hold transformation.
Whether you've birthed children or not, every woman carries the capacity to birth new ways of being and that is the journey we're taking together.
Trust isn't a prerequisite, it is the outcome.
Most women arrive disconnected from their bodies after years of overriding, second-guessing or pushing through. We don't ask your body to suddenly become trustworthy.
We help you experience, again and again, that it already is.
YES! Many women join not because life is falling apart, but because they can feel they're no longer living as themselves.
Women who join are often in times of transition whether that is leaving corporate jobs, relationship separation, or moving countries, the Mare isn't just for healing, it's for unbecoming.
